Faced with this, the unions then asked the government to harmonize the dates. This is how the 1971 decree on “construction holidays” came about. It states that all workers in the sector were granted 2 weeks paid leave from July. The Government communicates the exact dates each year. For the year 2023, it will be from July 23 to August 5.
