RHV-4100 Vertical Storage Hydraulic Dock Leveler
Top-storage design to maximize dock space. High-performance hydraulic system with compact storage, ideal for space-constrained installations.
The RHV-4100 is a vertically stored hydraulic dock leveler that significantly improves the control of a building's internal conditions, including temperature and contamination, as the dock door can close completely to the ground when the leveler is stored. This reduces the entry of dust, debris and pests, and limits energy loss through unnecessary openings.
This leveller is equipped with the Smooth Transition Dok System®, which ensures a smooth connection between the dock and the trailer, reducing vibration and discomfort for forklift operators while protecting products and equipment.
The vertical design also allows for drive-thru operations (trailer doors open inside the building), which increases safety, improves cold chain integrity, and enhances the safety of stored goods.
When it comes to safety, this leveller can be paired with options such as Safe-T-Pit®, which prevents the device from starting if movement is detected in the pit, adding a layer of protection for personnel.
Designed for demanding industrial environments and to optimize dockside operations, the RHV-4100 combines hydraulic performance, enhanced safety, energy efficiency and ease of maintenance.
Help reduce operating costs by increasing productivity with an effortless approach, constant contact controls, and high-performance biodegradable fluid.
- The "non-ground contact" approach means that staff spend less time getting in and out of the facility, thanks to a drive-thru system. In this system, employees stay safe inside the building and focus on loading and unloading operations.
- Constant contact controls allow the operator to extend the lip or stop the platform and lip at any time while the leveler is moving, allowing the operator to stay safe at the control panel at all times.
- The biodegradable fluid is environmentally friendly and performs better than traditional industrial fluids.
- Certified to meet ANSI MH30.1 performance testing standards.
Forklift operators make more than 100,000 round trips per year between the warehouse floor and the trailer bed. To protect your employees from chronic musculoskeletal disorders related to whole-body vibration (also known as dock shock) due to jolts and gaps between docks, it is essential to have a suitable smooth transition system in place.
- The Two-Point Crown Control system reinforces the front hinge (between the leveling plate and the rim) in two places to eliminate the "bumpy" feeling experienced with traditional levelers with increased crown reinforcement.
- The constant radius rear hinge ensures a regular 1/3" gap between the warehouse floor and the leveling tray, greatly reducing the gap that causes painful bumps and turns when passing.
- The extended lip chamfer comes standard with an extended length of 3 inches (compared to 1/3 inch for the traditional leveler) which ensures a smoother transition between the edge and the floor of the trailer, helping to reduce body impact.
- The beam construction includes two additional L-beams under the leveler plate, which provides increased strength and superior flexibility, allowing the leveler to flex up to 4 inches under its own weight.
The importance of safety on loading docks cannot be underestimated. From loading/unloading to planned maintenance, safety must be a priority in many ways.
- The Safe-T-Pit® system uses sensors that disable the leveler as soon as movement is detected in the pit, providing increased safety for pedestrians. Interlocked controls prevent the leveler from restarting until the pit is clear and the operator is safe near the control panel.
- The self-flexing deck uses L-shaped stringers to increase its strength and allow it to flex up to 10 cm under its own weight. Thanks to this design, the levelling platform remains in permanent contact with the trailer platform, even after the forklift has been removed.
- Rear-tilting leveller storage reduces pressure on the hydraulic system and thus helps to extend the life of the equipment.
- Always-on controls: allow the operator to extend the lip or stop the platform and lip at any time while the leveler is moving, while keeping the operator safely at the control panel.
- Non-adjustable speed fuse helps stop the rapid lowering of the leveler to less than 76 mm (3 inches) with a large load on the platform; Offering ultimate protection against free falls.
- Access bar: Supplied as standard on all continuous pit applications, it improves pedestrian safety.
- Vertical positioning for storage : Allows for safer routine maintenance with easy access for pit cleaning or washing.
Rite-Hite's drive-thru design is designed to help maintain cold chain integrity, environmental control, safety and security; Ideal for storing food or refrigerated products.
- The vertical storage leveler allows trailer doors to be opened inside the loading dock rather than on the access aisle. This helps to reduce the ingress of dust, debris and rodents into the facility and eliminates energy losses associated with the use of a pit leveller during storage.
It also means that security seals are always removed and placed inside the facility, improving the integrity of the cold chain and enhancing product and process security.
- The sectional doors close completely to the bottom of the pit for optimal environmental control. The possible addition of a leveling joint and dock shelter allows for complete protection against contaminants on all four sides of the loading dock, blocking white light.

Do you want better visibility into the performance of your docks to improve safety and productivity?
Levellers connected to Dok-Commander® are compatible with Rite-Hite ONE.* This connection to a single digital platform provides real-time data and visibility, enabling informed maintenance decisions, reducing inefficiencies, and mitigating the risk of incidents.
Real-time alerts are sent to any device to identify and stop unsafe behavior, such as:
- Unauthorized uses or failure modes.
- Employee entering an unsecured trailer.
- Platform door open while the safety barrier is not deployed.
The analyses collected at each stage of the loading process make it possible to identify bottlenecks and optimize operations:
- Total loading time to avoid holding costs.
- Use of equipment to detect under- or over-utilization.
- Trailer at the dock but restraint system not yet engaged.
Provides complete visibility into the status of connected devices and their maintenance history:
- Define the condition of the equipment (out of service or immediate action required).
- Performance tracking (number of cycles, usage, service history).
- Documentation and recording of maintenance operations and interventions.
