Intermodal chassis and clogged loading system technology

Exclusive anti-rotation hook design adds an additional layer of safety at the loading dock by safely securing intermodal containers or trailers with rear-impact guard obstructions, helping to maintain safety and increase productivity at the loading dock.

Know the risks associated with loading docks

With more than 100,000 forklift passes per leveller per year, dangerous separation accidents at loading docks can occur in a multitude of ways. Dok-Loks devices help prevent these costly risks, such as: Trailer pickup (dock walk) Early start Vertical opening or flip trailer Landing gear collapse

Help reduce whole-body vibration (WBV) injuries

Dock shocks are the constant jolts and vibrations caused by forklifts passing over the roughness and gaps of a traditional dock leveler and restraint system, before they enter the trailer. These impacts expose drivers to injury due to whole-body vibration (WBV). Today, 21% of forklift operators suffer from back or neck pain. Reduce employee injuries, product spills, and damage, while lowering maintenance costs with the Smooth Transition Dok System®.

STR-4200 Dok-Lok Stabilizer Retainer

Unique on the market, this restraint system compensates for horizontal and vertical movements while supporting wider and heavier loads. It meets the growing demand for air suspension trailers. With its anti-rotation technology, it secures intermodal chassis and congested combinations, and reduces trailer sag to just 2.5-5cm in most cases.

Dok-Lok® Connected Vehicle Restraint Systems

Pair it with sensors to see cycle counts, trends, deviations and more. Track the entire (un)loading process to reduce downtime and prioritize loading needs to decrease holding costs.

Are you prepared for the use of different types of rear impact protection?

In 1998, the NHTSA required that the tie-down system (RIG) of a semi-trailer be robust enough to prevent a car from becoming embedded under the trailer and to prevent the trailer from detaching prematurely from the loading dock when secured by a restraint system. The RIG has been significantly improved, making the old ICC bars obsolete, but many restraint system manufacturers have failed to innovate to comply with the new standards, putting the people who depend on their equipment at risk.

Integrating a Dok-Lok® dock timer into your facilities will allow you to:

Improve loading efficiency by increasing trailer capacity and throughput. Prioritize handling needs based on posted time. Better control the high costs of detention and demurrage. Intuitive monitoring of the loading process, from the presence of the trailer if a sensor is present at the dock. Make data-informed decisions based on real-time events and historical trends with smart, connected capabilities. Optimize the existing Dok-Lok® vehicle restraint system.

Importance of communication at the loading dock

Clear and concise communication is essential for safety and productivity. The use of lights, audible and visual alarms has an immediate positive impact on the loading dock. Red and green lights let personnel know when it is safe to load, while audible and visual alarms signal when to leave the driveway. Rite-Hite offers solutions for safer, more productive facilities!
