How well does your racking system protect workers above and below?

Securing open areas is a challenge in multi-level picking modules or any other working area at height that requires fall protection within your existing racking system. RacKeeper helps protect workers on mezzanine floors from falls—and also protects those below from falling materials.

Product Specifications

• 3" (75 mm) rail and nylon rollers for smooth operation without chains or cables
• 10-gauge steel frame with yellow powder coating
• 21" (535 mm) and 42" (1065 mm) rail heights
• Toeboard prevents materials from being accidentally pushed from a higher level to a lower level
• Compatible with racks from 4′0" to 13′6" wide, 5′0" to 9′0" high and 3′0" to 8′6" deep

Does your mezzanine security solution provide continuous edge protection?

Nets do not always provide reliable fall protection on raised platforms. Both unlinked interior and exterior doors can be left open. RacKeeper's link bar creates a controlled access area where both doors cannot be opened at the same time — to avoid a false sense of security.

• OSHA Compliance. Complies with OSHA 1910.28(b)(1) requiring employers to provide fall protection for personnel on traffic and work surfaces 4'0" (1200 mm) or more above the lower level. Also covers OSHA 1910.29(k)(1) requiring the use of toeboards on overhead traffic surfaces to prevent falling objects that could injure employees underneath.
• ANSI compliance. Conforms to ANSI 2009 section 6.4.3 published by the Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association, which requires that overhead surfaces be protected by guardrails at all times. "Hinged, sliding or removable doors that leave an unprotected opening are not acceptable."
• IBC compliance. Meets IBC 1015.2 requirements, which states that "guardrails must be installed along open circulation surfaces, including mezzanines, equipment platforms, aisles, stairs, ramps, and landings located more than 30 inches (762 mm) vertically from the lower level, within a horizontal area of 36 inches (914 mm) from the open edge."
