Illuminated Platform Communication System
The light communication system is a unique and cost-effective solution to improve communication between truck drivers and dock personnel. Simple red and green lights — immediately understood as "stop" and "passage" — provide clear signals to workers inside and drivers outside, to make the platform safer and more efficient.
The system has dimensions of 12 1/8" (308 mm) high, 6 3/16" (157 mm) wide and 2" (50 mm) deep, with a light-up cover that protrudes 3 5/8" (143 mm). It is equipped with clearly visible green and red lights, integrated into a black polypropylene housing and powered by two 12-volt automotive bulbs. An internal toggle switch allows the lights to be manually changed between green and red, while the central position of this switch ensures a "red-red" safety condition. The device also includes an interior traffic sign as well as two exterior warning signs, and it is UL certified.
