As building managers or employees who spend a lot of time in the warehouse know, having good maintenance of loading docks helps ensure optimal performance on a daily basis.

This is going to depend on the type of leveler you have. There are three main types of dock levellers: mechanical, pneumatic , and hydraulic. The type of leveler your facility will determine when and how to maintain your equipment. Mechanical bridges tend to require more regular maintenance where hydraulic levellers need less maintenance.

It is recommended that you perform maintenance tasks daily as well as every 90 days for optimal productivity of your equipment. Daily: Check that the leveller is free of debris and remove anything that could interfere with its operation. Also, make sure that the hinge part of the lip and platform is clean and unobstructed. It is recommended that you conduct a more thorough inspection of your leveler every 90 days:
